The wiki's chart board is built around four data series. Each series is refreshed against its primary source on a rolling basis; refresh cadence is in the table.
| Series | Primary source | Refresh cadence | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
| Concurrent players (24h peak, all-time) | Steam Web API | Hourly | Wired |
| Review aggregate (positive %, total count) | Steam store page | Daily | Wired |
| Regional sales / wishlist mix | Steam regional pages + SteamSpy | Weekly | Best-effort |
| DLC / season-pass uptake | Steam DLC metadata | Daily | Wired for S1 |
Any series that cannot be sourced from a primary API is intentionally left out — see the editorial policy for sourcing rules. The wiki never quotes third-party "estimate" sites as fact.
Steam reviews are bucketed by language. The wiki tracks the English aggregate by default and calls out the top three regional buckets if their distribution diverges sharply from the English one. A drop in positive % around a patch date is the canonical "did that patch anger players" signal — the wiki notes any such drop in the news section.
