Beginner Guide — Your First Expedition

The first five hours in Mistfall Hunter set the tone for the rest of your journey. Here's the order to do things in.

1. Pick your class

Withered Knight is the most forgiving class to learn. Plate armour, the highest base HP, and a stagger-focused kit that punishes greedy bosses.

2. Learn the extraction loop

Enter an expedition → fight corrupted foes → gather loot → extract before death. Death costs everything you carried in.

3. Combat basics

• Dodge is your main i-frame.
• Block requires a shield; most Withered Knight weapons can swap into a shield.
• Weapon switching retrain your active skills mid-fight.

4. Loot tiers and what to keep

Rare items survive death; common items do not. Always check the rarity before deciding whether to extract early.

5. Camp upgrades priority

Spend first on Stash Size, then Crafting Bench, then Trainer. Camp upgrades persist across expeditions.

6. Death penalties

A death wipes your carried loot unless your camp insurance is high enough. Don't push your luck at low stash.
