Mistfall Hunter Path of Glory — Ranked Mode Guide

Mistfall Hunter Path of Glory — Ranked Mode Guide

Path of Glory is Mistfall Hunter's official ranked PvPvE mode, announced by Bellring Games in Developer Update #7 (July 2026). It replaces the three separate beta leaderboards — Hunt Ranking, Gylden Hunt and Demon Hunt — with a single unified ranked ladder. The mode unlocks at character Level 6 and runs through seven ranked tiers from Duskborn to Zenith. This guide summarises the public DevNote #7 details and the launch-day community ranked-system write-ups.

The seven ranked tiers

Path of Glory divides ranked play into seven tiers, listed low to high.

1. Duskborn — entry tier, unlocked when a character reaches Level 6. 2. Mistwalker — second tier. 3. Dawnseeker — third tier. 4. Fateweaver — fourth tier. Normal difficulty stops granting Rank Points at this point. 5. Oracle — fifth tier. 6. Exalted — sixth tier. 7. Zenith — top tier. Exact point totals are displayed publicly at Zenith.

Each tier has sub-levels (for example Fateweaver I) — DevNote #7 calls these "major tiers" with sub-divisions. The community pages confirm sub-divisions but do not publish the exact sub-tier point thresholds. (Sub-tier point thresholds are not in the official sources reviewed for this page — no public wiki or community tracker has published a complete table of sub-tier cuts.)

How to unlock Path of Glory

Path of Glory unlocks the moment your character reaches Level 6. Mistfall Hunter's max level is Level 12 (all classes share the same level cap), and Level 6 is where several other progression systems also unlock — notably the Faction Upgrade System and the broader ranked-mode access. Before each match, you can individually choose whether to enable ranked mode. This setting is independent for each player and does not change the underlying matchmaking rules.

How to earn Rank Points

Points are awarded at match settlement for the following actions.

Defeating rival Gyldhunters — PvP kills during the expedition. Successful extraction — completing the extract with loot banked. Defeating monsters — PvE clears during the expedition. Completing tasks — in-match objectives and contracts. Acquiring assets — picking up valuable loot and resources.

The exact value of each action depends on your current tier — different tiers weight PvP kills, extraction and PvE differently. There is a cap on maximum points per match, and points are only deducted for failing to extract — dying in PvP or losing a duel does not subtract from your rank on its own.

Milestone rewards

Every time you advance to a major tier, you can claim milestone rewards. Higher tiers unlock exclusive cosmetics. Once you reach Fateweaver I, Normal-difficulty matches stop granting Rank Points — players who want to keep climbing past Fateweaver must venture into higher-difficulty modes (Chaos on Hallowgrove, Cataclysm on Brandrgarde per the wiki Maps page). The community pages flag this as the natural "ranked skill floor" — Normal is enough to climb into Fateweaver, but progression past it requires engaging with the harder expedition difficulties.

Server-wide points leaderboard

A separate server-wide leaderboard launches alongside Path of Glory. It ranks all players by their account's total accumulated points — not by single-character performance. The system automatically identifies your most-played class as your "main" and displays your highest-playtime character name under that class. Players who reach Zenith have their exact Rank Point totals shown publicly on this leaderboard, which is what differentiates Zenith from the lower six tiers where only the tier itself is public.

What changed from the beta ranking ladders

Path of Glory replaces the three separate beta ladders — Hunt Ranking, Gylden Hunt and Demon Hunt. The beta ladders were split by activity type (hunt score, Gylden score, demon score); Path of Glory consolidates all three into a single ladder weighted by the action types above. Players who had progress on the beta ladders had that progress migrated or reset at the launch of Path of Glory per DevNote #7. The exact migration policy (full carry-over vs partial carry-over vs reset) is not in the official sources reviewed for this page — check the Season 1 roadmap on the wiki Updates page for the migration specifics once published.

Practical tips from the community

The community trackers converge on a few practical tips for climbing Path of Glory.

Prioritise extraction over kills. Points are only deducted for failed extractions, so a clean extract with one boss kill ranks higher than a triple-kill run that ends in death.

Manage your sub-tier deltas. Sub-tier thresholds are the actual grind; the major-tier jumps come with milestone rewards that make the climb feel rewarding.

Play your main. The leaderboard identifies your most-played class automatically, so swapping alts hurts your long-term ranking position.

Stack extraction at lower tiers. Up to Fateweaver, Normal difficulty grants full Rank Points — there is no benefit to running harder content until you actually need to.

Don't chase Zenith until you can sustain it. Zenith totals are public, and Zenith players are obvious targets in matches; only push for Zenith if you can hold the rank against coordinated opponents.

What is not confirmed

Three things are explicitly not in official sources reviewed for this page: the exact sub-tier point thresholds for each of the seven tiers, the exact point value of each action (kill, extract, monster, task, asset) at each tier, and the beta-ladder migration policy when Path of Glory went live. Treat all three as awaiting official data — no public wiki or community tracker reviewed for this page has published a complete table.

How Path of Glory interacts with the rest of the game

Path of Glory is one mode in the launch build, sitting alongside the regular expedition flow and the standard PvPvE queues. Your character level, gear, and camp upgrades are all shared between Path of Glory and the rest of the game — there is no separate ranked ladder for items or currencies. The Path of Glory unlock at Level 6 aligns with the broader mid-game progression window: Level 5 unlocks the auction house, forge, workshop, scavenger squad and tavern, and Level 6 adds the Path of Glory toggle plus the faction upgrade system.

What the server-wide leaderboard actually shows

The server-wide leaderboard ranks all players by their account's total accumulated points, not by single-match performance. The system automatically identifies your most-played class as your "main" and displays your highest-playtime character name under that class. Players who reach Zenith see their exact Rank Point totals displayed publicly — which is what differentiates Zenith from the lower six tiers, where only the tier label is shown. Top-tier visibility is the reward; the lower tiers protect you from being a public target.

How Path of Glory differs from regular expeditions

Regular expeditions and Path of Glory matches share the same maps, the same monster spawns, the same PvP rules. The difference is the ranked toggle you set before each match. With the toggle on, your performance contributes to your tier and your server-wide position. With the toggle off, your match contributes nothing to ranked progression — the underlying gameplay is identical, but the rewards are local (extracted loot, Gyldenblood, in-match items) rather than ranked (tier points, milestone cosmetics).

Common Path of Glory mistakes

Three patterns show up in community discussions of the mode. Chasing kills over extractions — points are only deducted for failed extractions, so a clean extract with one boss kill ranks higher than a triple-kill run that ends in death. Ignoring the difficulty split — once you reach Fateweaver I, Normal stops granting points, so pushing into Chaos or Cataclysm becomes mandatory for continued climb. Swapping classes mid-season — your leaderboard main is set automatically by playtime, so changing classes lowers your main's position. Play one class to climb; swap only when the season resets.

What is not confirmed

Four things are explicitly not in official sources reviewed for this page: exact sub-tier point thresholds for each of the seven tiers, the exact point value of each action at each tier, the beta-ladder migration policy when Path of Glory went live, and the Soul Harvest mode's impact on Path of Glory point economy (Soul Harvest launches 2026-08-14 and may have its own point rules). Treat all four as awaiting official data — no public wiki or community tracker reviewed for this page has published a complete table.
