Mistfall Hunter Tier List

A community-tested ranking of the six launch classes across solo, duo, trio, PvE and PvP play. Numbers are not quoted because Bellring Games has not published any official win-rate or extraction-rate data — every rank below is aggregator judgement from the first two weeks of patches, cross-checked against the classes guide and the best-class guide.

Top-line tier table

TierClassOne-line summary
T0BlackarrowAll-scene ceiling — PvP and PvE both, infinite arrows, tracker half-aim, controller-friendly.
T0ShadowstrixSolo / solo-queue king — stealth reset, dagger-locked treasure runs, dual-blade burst.
T1Withered Knight (Spear-and-Shield)New patch mobility bump; sustained aggression, parry reads scale with skill.
T1Withered Knight (Greatsword)Strong team utility; high skill ceiling, weaker vs ranged solo.
T1Seer (Spell-Energy)Single / multi queue PvP duelist, kiting specialist.
T1Seer (Hyper-Armor)PvE bruiser, sustained tankiness, strong multi-queue PvP pressure.
T1MercenaryNewbie-friendly frontline, sword-and-board parry, hammer stun, highest HP pool.
T1Sorcerer (Elemental)Top-tier AoE clear, scaling PvP ceiling, glassiest kit.
T2Seer (Pure Support)Trio-only healer / shielder / CC; weak solo, weak solo PvP.

Why two T0s

The two top tiers reflect the fact that "best" depends on the queue:

Neither class has a strict edge over the other — Blackarrow falls off when you get pinned by a coordinated gank, and Shadowstrix falls off in any sustained group fight.

Per-scenario rankings

Solo / loot run

Shadowstrix > Blackarrow > Spell-Energy Seer > Mercenary > Sorcerer > Withered Knight > Support Seer

The solo queue rewards resets and burst more than anything else. Shadowstrix can disengage for free with stealth; Blackarrow kites forever on infinite arrows. Seer (Spell-Energy) is a workable third pick — high mobility and self-peel — but starts losing to any duo that focuses you.

Pure PvE / map-clear

Blackarrow > Hyper-Armor Seer > Mercenary > Sorcerer > Shadowstrix > Withered Knight > Support Seer

Pure map-clear is about kiting and AoE. Blackarrow's range dominates; Hyper-Armor Seer is the surprising second pick because the hyper-armor uptime lets them tank elites while the team resets aggro. Sorcerer is the AoE king once the kit is online.

Multi-queue PvP

Blackarrow > Shadowstrix > Spell-Energy Seer > Mercenary > Sorcerer > Withered Knight > Support Seer

Three-player lobbies shift toward range + utility. Blackarrow anchors the back line; Shadowstrix flanks; Spell-Energy Seer holds a side lane on its own. Pure Support Seer is a non-pick in solo multi-queue because it cannot generate threat on its own.

Beginner (first character)

Mercenary > Withered Knight > Support Seer > Blackarrow > Sorcerer > Shadowstrix

For a brand-new player the ranking inverts: the easiest kit to execute matters more than the ceiling. Mercenary has the simplest melee reads, the highest HP pool, and the most forgiving parry timing. Withered Knight adds team utility. Support Seer is third because it is durable in a party even when the player makes positioning mistakes.

Common pitfalls to avoid when reading a tier list

What Bellring Games has actually said

The studio has published one balance note so far — DevNote #7, which flagged Shadowstrix, Blackarrow and Mace-Seer as overperforming in internal telemetry. The August 6 client update rebalanced Blackarrow and Withered Knight in response; further passes are scheduled through the S1 launch window. No public win-rate numbers have been released by the studio.
