Pipi's Safe Pack — Mistfall Hunter Protected Inventory Slot
What Pipi's Safe Pack protects in Mistfall Hunter — a named storage slot that exempts items from Failure Drop on death, capacity, and what to bank in it.
Pipi's Safe Pack
Pipi's Safe Pack is a protected inventory slot in Mistfall Hunter, named after Pipi, one of the camp NPCs at Wind's Breath Bay. It exists to exempt specific items from Failure Drop — the death penalty mechanic that otherwise wipes your kit on a failed run.
What it protects
Pipi's Safe Pack holds items through death. Use it for things you cannot afford to lose on a bad extract:
- High-value keys — quest keys that bind on pickup. See Keys.
- Tokens and quest items — progression-bound items with no replacement.
- Trade goods and Streamgold — currency you want to bank mid-run.
Items stored in Pipi's Safe Pack are not lost on death but are consumed when used, just like a normal inventory stack.
Safe-pack tiers
Three safe-pack tiers ship at launch, each with its own capacity floor:
Refined Safe Pack — 1 slot per pack, capacity floor 1,500 Streamgold per cell. The default starting tier unlocked at Chapter 3 once Pipi joins the camp.
Rare Safe Pack — 2 slots per pack, capacity floor 3,500 Streamgold per cell. Unlocked via the Rare Safe Pack voucher (2-day, 3-day, and 14-day variants drop in the field).
Sacred Safe Pack — 3 slots per pack, capacity floor 10,000 Streamgold per cell. Not in the launch catalog; endgame-only via God Anchor drops.
Rules across all tiers
- Equipment cannot be placed in the safe pack. The slot only holds consumables, keys, and bound tokens.
- Cells are per-pack, not per-item — a single cell can hold a stack.
- The Divine-Spark and God-Gem material categories are exempt from capacity floors (they always fit).
- Contents do not drop on death and are not visible to other players when the hunter is downed.
- On successful extract, the safe pack returns to stash alongside normal inventory.
Capacity and behavior
- Capacity — about 6 to 8 slots at launch, depending on your camp progression.
- Stack limits — the same as your normal inventory.
- Visibility — contents are not visible to other players when your hunter drops.
- Extract — on a successful Extraction, the safe pack returns to stash alongside your normal inventory.
- Wipe or quit — even a full party wipe or a quit-out keeps the contents safe.
When to bank an item
Bank early. If a key or token lives in your normal bag and you die, Failure Drop claims it. The safe pack is the only slot that ignores the death penalty entirely.
